About

Ingram Literary is my creative development studio for writers who want to deepen their craft, reconnect with their voice, and bring long-held projects to life.

Many of my clients come to writing later, after careers, families, or other priorities have taken centre stage—but I work with writers at every stage of life. What matters is not when you begin, but that you begin.

Whether you’re dreaming of writing a memoir, publishing a collection of poetry, or finally finishing the novel that’s been echoing in the back of your mind, my one-to-one inspiration-development coaching offers the guidance, clarity, and encouragement you need.

Writing is more than putting words on the page. It’s a way of listening to yourself—tuning into your voice, exploring memory, emotion, and imagination, and learning to observe the world with renewed depth. The journey isn’t always linear; it asks for patience, curiosity, and courage. But if you trust the process, your work will lead the way. As Anne Carson wrote, ‘Words bounce. Words, if you let them, will do what they want to do and what they have to do.’

Founder

Hi, I’m Kit Ingram – a writer, editor, and creative empowerment coach dedicated to helping writers like you share your stories with the world.

Born in Canada and now based in London, I hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Toronto and a Master’s in Creative Writing with Distinction from Royal Holloway. In 2022, I graduated from Faber Academy's Novel Writing programme.

Before my literary career, I worked in real estate and creative consultancy, where I discovered that storytelling was the thread connecting everything I loved. Reframing myself as a writer – not just someone who writes – transformed my journey. Since then, my fiction and poetry have appeared in leading literary magazines, including Ambit, Magma, Poetry Ireland Review, Acumen, and The North.

My published works include the illustrated novel-in-verse Alice and Antius (2021) – an Editor’s Choice by Publishers Weekly – the poetry collection Aqueous Red (2023),  and X Coranto (June 2025), a hybrid work that reimagines the early news pamphlet to explore memory, morality, and queer identity in South London.

When I’m not immersed in words, you might find me playing fetch with my golden retriever, cycling through English Heritage country, or making another cacio e pepe.

I'm ready to be a writer.

Spots are still available for winter 2026.
